CROSBY GARRETT - 23rd March 2002 60035 + 60039 (which were photographed earlier approaching Birkett Tunnel) return from Kirkby Thore to Sudforth Lane (or possibly Knottingley) with the gypsum empties. This marvellous viaduct totally dominates the village of Crosby Garrett, 110 yards in length, 55 feet above the inhabitants and built in 1871. |
