HORTON-in-RIBBLESDALE - 9th July 1998 60010 hauls the 14.11 Milford Yard - Falkland Yard mgr empties through the picturesque station. Horton's ornate lighting lends a period feel to the place.Towards the rear of the train on the right hand side was the former sidingthat led into Settle Limes Ltd and formerly know as Delaney's Works. Now owned by the Hanson company, heavy lorries perpetually storm through the fragile Dales' villages at speed and in the words of "Mike Harding" removing the Yorkshire Dales bit by bit! |
